It’s hard to believe the end of 2011 is here! In only a few days it will be 2012. We’ve done a lot over the past year, including the release of ZOMM Pink and the Safe Driving Kit at CES last year and the launch of both our Android and iPhone apps.
We also released several new videos in 2011 and wanted to take this opportunity to take a look back at the year in video form:

We get a lot of feedback from our customers, and we make sure to listen! Lately we’ve noticed a few questions rising to the top and being asked more frequently than others. Today we’re looking at two of these questions:
1. How do I increase my battery life?
Simple, download the newest firmware. When ZOMM was introduced, the battery life for standard use was about 3-5 days. However, with our latest firmware upgrade, we’ve nearly doubled that and ow get 6-7 days on one full charge. Make sure you have the latest firmware upgrade by checking your myZOMM profile.
Again, the answer is simple. Don’t start looking all over your ZOMM for controls, though. Instead, you’ll use the controls on your phone to increase the speakerphone volume on the ZOMM.
Here’s how: Next time you take a call via your ZOMM, use the volume buttons on your phone to turn up the volume. Doing this while using ZOMM will increase the speakerphone volume-and stay that way. No need to do this during each call, the settings will save.

Robert Scoble might be one of the most popular people to follow on Google+, but this technology evangelist and former Fast Company blogger is also a great tweep to follow on Twitter. Robert doesn’t just talk about tech; he brings a critical eye to many of the latest tech trends.
Katie Boehret’s technology column is published weekly in the Wall Street Journal, but that doesn’t mean she reserves her tech updates for Wednesdays. This tech-savvy writer also blogs on the WJS.com blog “All Things D.” Her twitter stream is filled with updates about these posts as well as her musing on technology and small insights into life at the WSJ.
Mashable.com is a great source for the latest technology news and their CEO and founder, Pete Cashmore’s Twitter account covers everything from the latest gadget news to how technology is influencing global events. If you choose to follow this Twitter account you’ll be in good company; @Mashable has over 2,402,230 followers!

A common question we get is, “Is ZOMM compatible with my phone?” It’s an alarmingly smart (nudge nudge) question for people to ask and can be easily answered with another question—“Does your phone have Bluetooth?”
That’s right; you don’t have to own a smartphone in order to utilize ZOMM! When we made ZOMM we knew that there were a lot of people out there without smartphones—and those people hate losing their phones as much as anyone else.
Because of that, we created ZOMM with Bluetooth. Since there are few phones produced today without Bluetooth functionality, it is very likely that your phone will work with ZOMM. Basically, if your phone is Bluetooth compatible, then it is also ZOMM compatible.
To show you just how many phones are available with Bluetooth, we suggest you check out this A-Z Bluetooth directory on About.com. From the Audiovox 8290T to the VK 530 (and many, many in between), this is an extensive list of Bluetooth-ready phones. Yours is probably on it!
If you’re still unsure if your phone is with the Bluetooth game or not, you can check the user manual or scroll through the options on your phone. Typically Bluetooth is located under “settings” or “tools.”
