WILL A WIRELESS LEASH™ BY ZOMM® WORK WITH MY PHONE?
ZOMM works with most all Bluetooth®-enabled cellphones. If you are unsure if your phone is Bluetooth-enabled, contact one of our ZOMM customer support representatives at 1-888-821-0888 or ZOMM.com/support. ZOMM does not currently support Nokia Series 40 phones.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PURCHASE PRICE WHEN I BUY A WIRELESS LEASH BY ZOMM?
When you buy a ZOMM, the following things come in the box to ensure that you have everything you need to use your Wireless Leash:
  • One (1) Wireless Leash by ZOMM.
  • One (1) belt clip.
  • One (1) micro-USB wall charger.
  • One (1) micro-USB update cable.
  • One (1) key ring.
  • One (1) Quick Start Guide.
  • You do not need to purchase additional accessories unless you wish to have additional ones to use with your Wireless Leash.
IS THE BATTERY REPLACEABLE? HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
The Wireless Leash's rechargeable lithium ion battery is built-in and cannot be replaced. Attempting to change the battery will void your warranty. The battery should last several years with normal use and operation.
HOW FREQUENTLY DOES THE ZOMM NEED TO BE CHARGED?
Your Wireless Leash's battery is designed to last up to 2-3 days before it needs a charge. Naturally, the more you use your speakerphone or Wireless Leash alarm, the shorter your battery life will be.

HOW DOES THE WIRELESS LEASH BY ZOMM WORK?
The Wireless Leash uses Bluetooth wireless technology to invisibly connect to your phone. When your phone and Wireless Leash become separated, the Wireless Leash first vibrates, then flashes and then sounds an out of range alarm, letting you know that you have left your phone behind.
HOW DOES THE PANIC ALARM WORK?
The PANIC alarm sounds a loud alarm when the Z-button is pressed for about 9 seconds and then released. The alarm will continue until you tap the Z-button. The PANIC alarm will draw attention to you if you are in an emergency situation but it will not call 911 (like the Emergency Call feature).
HOW DOES THE EMERGENCY CALL FEATURE WORK?
The Wireless Leash will dial 911 or the emergency number you have programmed into it using the myZOMM software. The Wireless Leash uses your mobile phone to place a call to emergency services and also serves as a speakerphone for the emergency call. Once connected to emergency services, the Wireless Leash plays a recorded message that tells the emergency services operator to send help to your location immediately. That way, even if you cannot speak during your emergency help can get to you. Emergency services should be able to use the location of your mobile phone's signal to send help to your vicinity.
HOW DOES THE SPEAKERPHONE WORK?
The Wireless Leash is equipped with a high-powered micro-speaker and noise-cancelling microphone. With just a tap of the Z-button, you can use the Wireless Leash as a speakerphone, hands-free phone while driving or even as a conference phone. You can purchase a car-kit for your Wireless Leash to drive safe and talk hands-free. It comes with a special visor clip that magnifies the speaker using sound-channeling technology, improving your speakerphone's performance in your car. The kit also comes with a low-profile USB car charger and convenient quick release key-chain.
WHAT IS THE REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE AND WHEN SHOULD I PURCHASE IT?
The Replacement Guarantee covers your ZOMM if you damage it for any reason. The Replacement Guarantee replaces up to two damaged units for two years. The best time to purchase your Replacement Guarantee is when you purchase your ZOMM so you know it is always covered. If you have already purchased a Replacement Guarantee and have damaged your ZOMM, just contact one of our ZOMM customer support representatives at 1-888-821-0888 or ZOMM.com/support for an Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number. Note that the Replacement Guarantee does NOT cover lost or stolen ZOMMs.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ZOMM TO ARRIVE?
The time it takes for your Wireless Leash to be delivered to you depends on the shipping method you choose at the time of purchase. After completing your purchase, you should receive a confirmation mail with a tracking number so you can track your package.
MY COUNTRY IS NOT ON YOUR SHIPPING LIST. HOW CAN I GET A ZOMM?

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
We have a 30-day no questions asked return policy for all items bought through our website. Returned items are subject to a 10% re-stocking fee and must include all the packaging and original accessories. If you need to return an item, please contact one of our ZOMM customer support representatives at 1-888-821-0888 or ZOMM.com/support for an Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number and address to send your items back to. Note that we cannot accept items or issue refunds for items that do not have RMA numbers.

Pair and Connect to a Mobile Phone:

HOW DO I PAIR AND CONNECT THE WIRELESS LEASH WITH MY PHONE?
Most phones will pair and connect with the Wireless Leash using these instructions.
  1. Ensure your phone is turned ON and the Bluetooth feature is enabled.
  2. Verify that the Wireless Leash is unplugged and turned OFF (Z-light is OFF).
  3. Press and hold the Z-button until you hear the third beep (15 seconds).
  4. On your phone, search for Bluetooth devices.
  5. Select the ZOMM from the list of found Bluetooth devices on your phone.
  6. Pair and connect the Wireless Leash. If a PIN is required, use 0000.
  7. Once connected, the Z-light will flash every few seconds. If you are having trouble pairing your phone with the Wireless Leash, or you can't find your specific brand and model phone listed here, please contact one of our ZOMM customer support representatives at 1-888-821-0888 or ZOMM.com/support.
CAN I PAIR THE WIRELESS LEASH WITH MY IPAD?
ZOMM uses Bluetooth Hands free profile (HFP 1.5) or Headset Profile (HSP 1.2) to connect with mobile devices. Unlike the iPhone, the iPad does not currently support the Bluetooth profiles required to connect with the Wireless Leash.
MY PHONE WAS PREVIOUSLY PAIRED WITH THE WIRELESS LEASH AND WORKING PROPERLY BUT NOW IT ISN'T. WHAT DO I DO?
It sounds like you may need to create a new pairing between your phone and the Wireless Leash.
  • Before you begin:
    1. Ensure that your Wireless Leash is fully charged.
    2. Make sure your Wireless Leash is turned OFF and not plugged into a charger or computer (none of the lights should be ON or flashing).
  • On your phone:
    1. Delete, forget or remove ZOMM from the list of Bluetooth devices. After this step, ZOMM should not appear under the list of Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone.
    2. Turn your phone OFF and then ON again.
  • Pairing and connecting your phone with the Wireless Leash:
    1. Ensure your phone is turned ON and the Bluetooth feature is enabled.
    2. Verify that the Wireless Leash is unplugged and turned OFF (Z-light is OFF).
    3. Press and hold the Z-button until you hear the third beep (15 seconds).
    4. On your phone, search for Bluetooth devices.
    5. Select the ZOMM from the list of found Bluetooth devices on your phone.
    6. Pair and connect the ZOMM. If a PIN is required, use 0000.
  • Once connected, the Z-light will flash every few seconds. Most phones will pair and connect with the Wireless Leash using these instructions. Your phone and Wireless Leash should now work properly again. CAN I USE MY BLUETOOTH CAR KIT OR HEADSET AT THE SAME TIME I AM USING THE WIRELESS LEASH?
The ability to use your Wireless Leash and a Bluetooth car kit or headset at the same time depends on the mobile phone that you are using. Most mobile phones only allow one active hands-free connection at any given time. However, newer phones on the market are increasingly allowing more than one active Bluetooth connection.
  • If your phone only allows one active Bluetooth connection at a time, here's how you can use both your Wireless Leash and car kit or headset together in a complementary manner:
    1. Turn off your Wireless Leash after you have safely entered your vehicle or when you are using your headset (press and hold the Z-button until you hear the first beep).
    2. Turn your Wireless Leash back on as you exit your vehicle or when your headset is no longer in use (press and hold the Z-button until your hear the first beep).
  • When you turn your Wireless Leash back on, it will automatically reconnect with your mobile phone and be ready to use.

Using The Wireless Leash:

MY WIRELESS LEASH KEEPS BEEPING, IS THAT THE LOW-BATTERY ALERT?
When the battery level is low, the Wireless Leash will alert you by sounding three short beeps every few minutes. Be aware that if your battery gets too low, some critical Wireless Leash features such as the Panic Alarm and emergency dialing may not operate correctly, and may cause your Wireless Leash to shut off unexpectedly. We recommend that you keep your Wireless Leash fully charged and that you recharge it immediately upon receiving the low battery alert.
HOW DO I CHARGE MY WIRELESS LEASH?
Follow these easy steps to charge your Wireless Leash by ZOMM:
  1. Gently open the dust cover to expose the micro-USB port.
  2. Insert the micro-USB plug of the provided wall charger into the Wireless Leash's micro-USB port.
  3. For best battery life, fully charge the Wireless Leash for 4 hours.
  4. When plugged in, the Z-light only displays the charging state of the Wireless Leash. When the Wireless Leash is charged, the Z-light will remain lit.

HOW LONG IS THE WIRELESS LEASH?
The factory setting of the Wireless Leash's length is approximately 30-feet although that length will vary depending on your phone's Bluetooth radio and physical objects between your phone and the Wireless Leash as well as environmental conditions. You can change the length of the Wireless Leash using the myZOMM software from long (the factory setting) to short to suit your needs.
WHY DOES MY WIRELESS LEASH ALARM OCCASIONALLY GO OFF FOR NO APPARENT REASON?
The Bluetooth signal for the Wireless Leash can sometimes be broken by physical objects or interference from other radio devices. Try eliminating those things that may be breaking the Bluetooth signal. Re-setting your phone might also help with false alarms.

HOW DO I USE THE ZOMM SPEAKERPHONE?
When receiving an incoming call, tap the Z-button once to accept and route the call to the ZOMM. To transfer an outgoing call to the ZOMM, first place the call using your phone. When the call is ringing, tap the Z-button once to transfer the outgoing call to the ZOMM. During an active call, tap the Z-button once to transfer the call from your mobile phone to your ZOMM. Tap the Z-button once again if you wish to transfer the call back from your ZOMM to your mobile phone. To end the call, tap the Z-button twice.
CAN I CANCEL AN INCOMING CALL OR SEND IT TO VOICEMAIL USING THE ZOMM?
You can cancel an incoming call by tapping the Z-button twice. This will send the call to your voicemail. This feature is especially convenient if your phone is not easily within reach and you want to cancel the incoming call quickly and discreetly.
HOW DO I UPDATE OR CUSTOMIZE MY ZOMM?
To customize your ZOMM, you must download the myZOMM software at http://zomm.com/activate. Once there, select download, then login or create a new account to download the myZOMM software. If there is an available update for your ZOMM, it will be applied, along with your custom settings, after selecting "Customize."
DO I HAVE TO "ACTIVATE" OR "REGISTER" MY ZOMM BEFORE PAIRING IT WITH MY PHONE?
Your ZOMM works out of the box and does not require you to do anything with your computer to use it. Downloading and running the myZOMM software allows you to customize some of your ZOMM's features, as well as receive future updates for the ZOMM, but is not necessary to make the ZOMM functional.
I FORGOT MY ZOMM ACCOUNT PASSWORD
Here's how to reset your password:
  1. Go to: store.zomm.com/users/help
  2. Enter your email address into the email box and select "Reset My Password."
  3. You should receive an email within a few minutes containing a link. Follow this link to reset your password.
